Android Lollipop v5.0 is expected to be released this November. Android Lollipop's User Interface is believed to be more user friendly than that of Android KitKat with so many perks. Android Lollipop comes with new Lock features, which use your Location and Android Wear. When your phone is nearby your Android Wear, the lock code will be turned off OR When you're at your House etc, the lock code will be turned off. However, you can designate the places. Google is also working on the power saving part of the phone. Google calls it Project Volta. By the end, Android Lollipop might add 90mintues of extra battery back up. Lets hope this ends well. Who wouldn't want a Hour and Half of extra Juice? Android is also working on the overall user experience to make it better and smoother. Google's calling it 'Project Butter'.
Coming to the manufactures that promised the Android Lollipop upgrade to their Handsets, Motorola stands first. HTC and Sony also promised the Android L to some of their handsets. Asus recently released the KitKat upgrade for its Zenfone series and is believed to be working on Android L upgrade. However, I think Motorola is gonna release the Android L upgrade before other manufacturers. HTC promised to release the update two weeks after the official release of Android L. Sony also promised to bring the Android L upgrade to Xperia Z series i.e., the Xperia Z, ZR, ZL, Z1, Z2, Z3, Z3 Compact, Tablet Z etc. Samsung is also expected to released Android L upgrade for the S5 and Note 3. The S4 might get an update, too. LG is another manufacturer that promised the Android L Upgrade.
