Hey guys, Lenovo A6000 is now available on Flipkart @ Rs. 6,999. However, you have to register first to purchase it. Lenovo A600 is a 4G phone with 64-bit Processor. It sports 8MP Primary Camera and 2MP Secondary Camera. Here's what I felt about the Lenovo A6000.
Looks and Build Quality
My first impression on the Lenovo A6000 is "Simple and Beautiful". It looks so simple and, yet, beautiful. With its thickness at 8.2mm, I can say its pretty slim. The back cover's got a metal kind of finish but is made of good quality plastic. You have the microUSB port and 3.5mm Audio Jack on the top. Volume rocker and power key to the right. It only weighs 128gms, which makes it lighter than most of its rivals
Camera
Lenovo A6000 has an 8MP Primary Camera and 2MP Secondary Camera. When I looked at the pictured clicked by the primary camera, I felt like there is a slight yellowish-ting (or may be yellowish when the flash is on) to the pictures. However, pictures clicked outdoor are great. The Secondary Camera is marvelous. It's too good when compared to its rivals' secondary cameras. Primary Camera supports only HD (720p) video recording.
Display and User Interface
Lenovo A6000 has a 5" IPS HD Display with 320ppi. I've compared Lenovo A6000's display with my Zenfone 5 and I wondered when I found out that Lenovo's display is brighter than my Zenfone's. Colors are displayed so vibrantly. Coming to the UI, it is pretty good. The Vibe UI 2.0 looks and works very well. It's pretty stable.
Other features and Performance
Lenovo A6000's special features is the 4G compatibility. Many phones in this price range support only 3G. This makes the Lenovo A6000 stand out of the competition. It comes with Snapdragon's 1.2GHz Quad-core Processor and Adreno 306 GPU. So, Lenovo A6000 will perform well when it comes to gaming and multitasking. It comes with Android KitKat v4.4.4. It only has 3sensors proximity, Accelerometer and Light sensor. It comes with 2,300mAh removable battery. So, you can get through a day of mixed usage.
The best part of this phone is its Dual Dolby Speaker. I was astounded when I first used the speakers. Sound is clear and crisp. Be it a movie or a song, the speakers on Lenovo A6000 can make it a pleasure to watch a movie or to listen a song.
Final Verdict
If you're more into internet and playing games, this can be a good phone. However, it lacks a few things. First one is the FullHD Video recording. It can only record videos at 720p resolution. Second, using camera indoors with flash is giving the pictures a greenish or yellowish tinge. I don't know if this is the problem with the device I bought. However, if you use your phone's camera for casual purposes, Lenovo A6000 can get the job done.
Pros: 4G, Vibrant Display, Good Processor, Good Battery Backup, Dolby Speakers
Cons: No FullHD Recording, Yellowish or greenish tinge in the pictures.
