Asus Zenfone 5 vs Xiaomi Redmi 1S vs Lenovo A6000
Asus Zenfone 5, Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Lenovo A6000 are trending budget phones right now. Each of the phones has its own specialty. The Asus Zenfone 5 has 2GB RAM and Intel Dual Core Processor, Xiaomi is known for its low price and Quad Core processor and the Lenovo A6000 supports 4G and has Dolby sound.
Display and Design
Zenfone 5 and A6000 both have a 5" HD Display where as the Redmi 1S has a 4.7" HD Display. So when it comes to better display, Redmi 1S is better but when it comes to size of the display, Zenfone 5 and A6000 are on par with each other. However, Zenfone is a bit bigger than A6000 if the whole body is considered.
Zenfone 5 has curved design. The Lenovo A6000 and Redmi 1S have a similar design with no curves except for the edges. So, when it comes to holding the device, Zenfone 5 is better. However, it's the biggest of the three. When it comes to user interface, I find the Zen UI of the Asus more appealing than the other two.
Camera
Zenfone 5 wins the Camera round. Hands Down. Though all the three phones have an 8MP Primary Camera, Asus Zenfone 5 seems to click better pictures than Lenovo and Redmi. Redmi and Lenovo A6000 Camera quality is good but not on par with the Zenfone's camera. Lenovo A6000 doesn't support Full HD Recording
Processor and Performance
Zenfone 5 has a 2GB RAM and 1.6GHz Intel Dual Core Processor, Xiaomi has a 1GB RAM and 1.6GHz Quad Core Processor and Lenovo A6000 has 1GB RAM and 1.2GHz Quad Core Processor. Asus also wins this. However, the competition is close. May be it's the 2GB RAM that makes the Asus best of the three.
Battery
Redmi 1S has a 2000mAh battery, Zenfone 5 a 2110mAH battery and A6000 a 2300mAh battery. As Redmi's display is only 4.7", the 2000mAh battery can get it through a day of mixed usage. Lenovo can also withstand a day of mixed usage. However, Asus Zenfone 5 struggles with the battery life.
Other Features
Lenovo A6000 is the only phone that supports 4G in this lot. Asus Zenfone 5 comes loaded with features like Glove mode etc. Xiaomi costs pretty less for a smart phone. So, money spent on Xiaomi is money well spent. Lenovo is also priced pretty well. However, Asus isn't in the price range of Xiaomi and Lenovo, but it performs pretty well for its price, except for the battery life. The Dolby sound on Lenovo A6000 is worth a mention.
Verdict:
If you are looking for a phone with a better Camera and performance and don't mind spending a few more bucks, Asus is a good option. If you are looking for a phone with better internet and don't mind going a bit down on camera, Lenovo is a good option. If you are looking for a phone that performs decently at all the aspects, go for the Xiaomi.
